Databases

Two databases are accessible from this page.

  • A Database of Heritage Practitioners:

  • A Database of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Products and Expressions:

    View all crafts in database
This has been partly drawn from recorded expressions of cultural heritage collected during the short scoping and training in-country workshops in the four countries and from the research participants in their own countries.

These databases provide an example of what participants have identified through their own experiences and working with local groups.
It represents what is important to them and what they believe should be safeguarded.

These databases represent work in progress and will edited and added to as time goes on and people in the participating countries send more material.

It is intended that these databases act as an inspiration and a model to encourage people concerned about the safeguarding of their community’s cultural products and expressions to keep a record of them. They are not intended to be comprehensive in coverage but to provide samples of what is important to people and how to make it available.

It is hoped that it will encourage other people to get involved in this initiative.
