Glendon Allicock - Surama Village

Hello Kenya, my name is Glendon Allicock from South America. I am from the Macushi group, one of the nine Amerindian groups in Guyana. I am real happy to be in Kenya to see your rich culture. This is great, I love to be among the elders and listen to them with great respect. I ask that they continue to do this great work. Your culture and language is your identity. Respect the forest-this is our super market where we get our food, medicine, materials for building our home, e.t.c. and we need to care for it. One more thing, be strong. The things I see here like the cassava we have back home and many others, so coming here means a lot to me and I will remember this all my life.
