Research Center of Culture in South China Sea Area, Hainan Normal University

Research Centre of Culture in South China Sea Area was established in July 2008 based in Hainan Normal University. The center was upgraded into a cultural research base for cultures in South China Sea area. The director of the cultural base is Prof Guangzheng Tong, Vice President of Hainan Normal University, and the Deputy Directors are Prof Yuanzhong Renand and Prof Yiping Zhang. Three full time researchers work in this cultural base; there are also more than thirty part time researchers and more than ten invited researchers in this centre.

The researches in the organization are conducted with scientific development concepts and develop in accordance with the national plan to build Hainan into an international tourist island and national maritime strategy. Under the guidance of Hainan Social Science Association and Hainan Normal University, the research base organizes sophisticated research activities based on systematic collections of information and materials in South China Sea Area. Our mission is to have our research achievements benefit both China and the world.
