Partners

The En-compass action will benefit from the expertise of key research, exchange and training partners from China, England, Guyana and Kenya (with the remit for Anglophone Africa) along with facilitation through the International Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies (ICCHS) at Newcastle University, England.

The lead partner is the International Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies at Newcastle University, which now forms part of Media, Culture, Heritage. For more information please visit: http://www.ncl.ac.uk/sacs/mch/

The partner organisation in China is the Hainan Provincial International Cultural Exchange Centre (HPICEC).

The partner organisation in Guyana is the Iwokrama International Centre for Rainforest Conservation and Development (ICC). For more information please visit: http://www.iwokrama.org/

The partner organisation in Anglophone Africa is the Centre for Heritage Development in Africa (CHDA), located in Mombasa, Kenya. For more information please visit: http://heritageinafrica.org/home.html

Each of the partners will take charge of the selection of the participants for the different activities in the action and arrange the in-country activities. The selection criteria for the different activities should consider: commitment and future impact on the heritage, culture and arts sectors, both in the home countries and internationally; age balance; gender balance; community representation; and, understanding of indigeous and ethnic minority culture and arts.
